Competition Law

Competition law is a relatively new area of practice in North Cyprus. Drafted in a manner compatible with its EU counterpart, Competition Law of North Cyprus was enacted in 2009 and was directed at the aim of harmonising Turkish Cypriot legislation with the EU acquis communautaire.

Our team can deal with competition issues should these emerge from mergers & acquisitions, agreements, transactions, decisions and other dealings. We can deliver services and assist with regard to abuses of dominant position, price-fixing, concentration transactions, state aids and other competition related matters.

We advise our clients on their agreements, transactions, or decisions in order to ensure complete compliance with Competition rules and regulations. Our expert team provides representation before the Competition Board in relation to infringement proceedings. If necessary, we can initiate legal action seeking rescission of the Board’s final decision before the Supreme Administrative Court of North Cyprus.
